The Kingstide Interior

Coastal Fare with Southern Flair

Led by Executive Chef Kevin Getzewich, The Kingstide’s menus offer a variety of seafood dishes thoughtfully presented in both raw and wood-fired preparations. Inspired by the beautifully simple flavors of the sea, Getzewich partners with local and regional fisheries, farmers, and purveyors to showcase the Lowcountry’s bounty through fresh, seasonally driven cuisine. Classic raw bar offerings, including Peel & Eat Shrimp; Stone Crab Claws; Lobster Tails; and, of course, Oysters make way for inventive shareable starters, including Fish Bologna Sliders; Smoked Fish Dip; Seafood Sausage Plate, and more. Approachable sandwiches and soups provide familiar favorites from Lobster Rolls, Rock Shrimp Po Boy, and Crablt to Lowcountry Chowder, and Fishermans Stew. An assortment of fin fish—ranging from seasonal, fresh-caught tuna, and locally sourced trout—round out the entrée offerings alongside freshly made shellfish pasta dishes, including Lobster Agnolotti and Crab Tonnarelli. Land-based produce and protein offerings are concise but mighty, featuring a Pub Steak and a variety of wood-fired vegetables.

Featuring a menu of just-caught dishes and fresh ingredients… Accessible via land or boat.

Cold Drinks and Good Times

Featuring a variety of rotating beverage offerings, The Kingstide presents a full-service bar program of complementary cocktails, select beer options, and refreshing wine pairings. The cocktail menu provides guests with Shaken, Frozen, and Spirit-Free options, including the Lowcountry Spritz, Wando Zombie, Red Tide, and Waterkeeper. Locally focused beers highlight Charleston’s vibrant brewery scene, and a hand-selected wine program from Indigo Road Sommelier Vonda Freeman places an emphasis on pink wines, bubbles, and seafood-friendly selections. Guests are invited to stop in to enjoy a cold beverage, a good time, and bask in The Kingstide’s coastal breeze.

The Kingstide Spread

 Restaurant with a View

Boasting a pristine setting along the Wando River’s meandering waterways, the two-story space features an abundance of windows that maximize natural light and picturesque views. Envisioned and executed by renowned Cortney Bishop Design, The Kingstide’s rustic yet refined interiors offer a nautical nod that goes beyond coastal expectations. Tall ceilings with warm wood beams frame the main dining room, which features a combination of 76 indoor seats and 52 outdoor seats, as well as additional al fresco lounge and dining options. The open kitchen, complete with a wood-fired hearth, provides a welcoming atmosphere to grab a front row seat at the chef’s counter or raw bar.  Maritime-inspired rope-clad columns and artistically draped pendant lighting are designed to immerse guests into a retreat indicative of the Lowcountry landscape. Casual, yet elevated seating options range from intimate banquettes throughout the restaurant to larger tables, ideal for a crowd, as well as two private dining rooms suited for communal, more private gatherings.

Upstairs, views of the Wando are plentiful with floor-to-ceiling windows throughout the dining room, but particularly from the circular shaped bar, the second floor’s main focal point.  The bar’s windows open, leading to an expansive second floor deck. The open concept theme carries on the second floor as well with a sleek kitchen-view window. Nearby high-top tables provide a peak into a second working kitchen. The second floor offers 56 seats indoors and 85 on the deck.
